Why the Rotator cuff is important for Basketball players

Ever notice that as basketball game goes on there seems to be an increased amount of shots missed? As players fatigue, free throw and field goal percentages seem to drop. Unfortunately, fatigue can affect three areas which will limit performance. First, fatigue will lead to mental drain ultimately limiting the ability for an athlete to concentrate. Second, fatigue will decrease the athlete's ability to jump and elevate from decreeased leg strength. Last, some athletes will not be able to maintain proper shooting form from upper extremity fatigue especially rotator cuff fatigue.
