Whether a recreational, novice, or competitive swimmer, having poor technique will only hinder efficiency. Preventing the body from maximizing each stroke will only lead to the body fatiguing quicker, slower swim times, and possibly predispose an athlete to injury. Fixing these common swim flaws will lead to an effective stroke. Most athletes have an ideal as to which fault/ flaw they have. Typically as an athlete fatigues he or she will further demonstrate these flaws. The quicker an athlete can correct these flaws the more proficient an athlete will become in the water.
