Many pitchers fail to maximize their pitching potential by not getting the most out of their stride. The pitching stride is arguably the most important phase of pitching. It begins the pitching sequence, but also is when pitchers begin to gain momentum as they travel down the mound towards the batters. While most pitchers do a good job off quickly moving down the mound. Some pitchers have a short stride that diminishes their pitching potential. The stride should be at least equal to the height of the pitcher.
