The world's governing body for soccer, FIFA, launched its own campaign in 1994 developed to improve players health and injury prevention. This campaign established an independent research group known as FIFA Medical and Research Centre (F-MARC). F-MARC is a group of health care professionals from around the world who collectively develop scientific programs and interventions to protect the health and reduce the incidence of injury in soccer. After thoroughly evaluating the sport from the elite and down to the amateur level F-MARC has created a program known FIFA 11+. FIFA 11+ is a prevention program that highlights exercises that minimize injuries to specific to soccer players. The following exercises have been scientifically proven to minimize injury in soccer athletes around the world.
